Ministry of Interior has facilitated deployment of ground surveillance radars at important locations of Pak-Afghan border to detect human movement and check reported infiltration of terrorists into Pakistan.

As part of measures to check and control movement of terrorists and undesired persons into Pakistani territory, official sources on Tuesday said construction of 453 kms of obstacles (Anti Smuggling Ditch) has been developed to check human and vehicle movement.

The sources said management and control of Pak-Afghan border was joint responsibility of all Law Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) and in pursuance of objective to control borders on Pakistan side, Frontier Corps, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan have also taken some steps which included conducting of frequent combat patrolling along Pak-Afghan border, intelligence based operations against suspected miscreants and installation of search lights at important crossing sites.
